Thornbury milestone acceptance record: Order entry redesign
Thornbury milestone acceptance record: Order entry redesign

Owner: Tom Becker. Updated Oct 1, 2026.
Acceptance criteria and where each stands
The acceptance record for the Order entry redesign milestone: five agreed criteria, the evidence submitted against each, and the one decision only Robert Lang can record. The milestone fee is not invoiced until his acceptance carries his name, a version and a date. Prepared by Tom Becker, PMO lead at Corbel Partners, for Robert Lang, chief operating officer at Thornbury Components, and Claire Dubois, engagement partner. Record as of Thursday, October 1, 2026.
Done means the evidence is attached and complete. It does not mean accepted: Robert Lang records acceptance himself, and nobody at Corbel records it for him. His acceptance of version v1.2 is not yet recorded.
The acceptance queue
Every Thornbury milestone waiting on a reviewer is Ready for acceptance, Changes requested or Disputed. Order entry redesign sits in Changes requested, owned by Tom Becker, priority Urgent, with the plant three test results as its blocking item. The live table below lists the milestones waiting on a reviewer or on evidence.
Evidence per criterion
| # | Criterion | Evidence in v1.2 | Status | Note for the reviewer |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Process map signed off | Signed order-to-cash process map | None | |
| 2 | New order form live at plants one and two | Go-live confirmations from plants one and two | Plant three goes live after its cutover date is set at steering | |
| 3 | Order entry error rate under 2 percent for two weeks | Order entry audit log: 1.8 percent at plants one and two on Sep 25, from 6.4 percent at the May 31 baseline | Plant three is not yet in the measure. Robert Lang to confirm plants one and two are enough | |
| 4 | User acceptance tests passed at all three plants | Plant one and two test results attached; plant three results came from an older build | Plant three results from the current build are required | |
| 5 | Order desk staff trained | Training register and survey results from Training rollout wave 1, accepted Sep 29 | None |
Criterion 4 is held: plant three results come from an older build
The first evidence pack included plant three test results from an older build, so criterion 4 cannot be accepted. Claire Dubois has held acceptance of criterion 4 and asked for results from the current build. Tom Becker owns the resubmission and will send the plant three results from the current build as version v1.3 by Thursday, October 8. Consequence: the milestone, due Sep 26, stays open and the $48,000 fee stays uninvoiced, including for the four criteria that do have evidence.
Billing rule for this milestone
Other Thornbury milestones due first
| Milestone | Status | Owner | Criteria met | Fee | What it waits on |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Training materials library | Ready for acceptance | Amara Nwosu | 3 of 3 | $11,000 | Robert Lang's review, due Oct 3 |
| Tax code lookup configuration | Changes requested | Hugo Lindqvist | 3 of 4 | $18,500 | Corrected tax code mapping due from Corbel on Oct 5; two codes sit on the wrong plant ledger |
| Month-end close procedure | Disputed | Tom Becker | 3 of 4 | $17,000 | Finance says criterion 3 needs a quarter-end close; Corbel holds that the August close met it. Invoice on hold |
| Plant two cutover readiness | Evidence in progress | Tom Becker | 2 of 4 | $18,000 | Plant two report on trained super users, due Oct 8 |
Together with Order entry redesign, these five milestones carry $112,500 in fees that wait on a reviewer or on evidence due in October. Three more Thornbury milestones, Invoicing design, Customer master data cleanse and Collections workflow design, are still gathering evidence and are not listed here.
