Prepared by the Sablewood producer for Nathaniel Obuya, Head of marketing events at Verrano Instruments, and for Verrano procurement. Fourteen changes are logged: 6 included at no cost, 4 priced and accepted for $21,300 in total, 2 declined and 2 waiting on a decision.

Changes by area of the event

Read the table by row. Each row is an area of the summit and each column is a decision state, so the numbers across a row add up to the total for that area. Agenda and sessions has the most changes (4). Stage and set and Agenda and sessions each hold one change that is still waiting on a decision.

What is waiting on Verrano

Two changes have no decision yet. Both will be priced before any supplier call, and both are decided by Oct 8.

No work before a decision

The change rule

Details
Change ruleNo production work before a recorded inclusion or price decision.
Where requests goThrough the project space only. Nathaniel Obuya agreed to send every request there, so a text message or a hallway request is not yet a request.
Who checks feasibilitySimone Vrabec, Executive producer, with the supplier named in the log.
Who decides the commercial outcomeKofi Adjei, Managing director: included, priced, absorbed or declined. Both open changes are priced before any supplier call.
Who approvesNathaniel Obuya approves the change inclusion and price. The approved version returns to the log and only then does supplier work start.
What the log countsEach change shows requested, priced, decided and accepted, plus any cost absorbed and any work started before a decision.

Stage extension: started before any decision, $1,900 absorbed

The request to extend the main stage reached a Sablewood producer by text message during a site visit. Work started on Aug 18 with Brindlemoor Staging and the request never reached the change record until Brindlemoor invoiced it. Sablewood absorbed the $1,900, so Verrano pays nothing for it, and the change is included at no cost. Why it matters. This is the one change in the log that started before a decision. It is the reason the rule above exists and the reason the log counts work started before decision. The extension is still In production and due Oct 8.
