T143 Reseller program guide: tiers and benefits
Reseller program guide: tiers and benefits

What the Keelson Authorized Reseller Program asks of each tier, what each tier gives, and what stands between Ridgeline Industrial Supply and Premier. Prepared by Tobias Wren, channel manager at Keelson Precision Manufacturing, for Carmen Delgado, sales director at Ridgeline, and the Ridgeline counter and outside sales team. Benedict Oyelaran, Keelson commercial operations manager, reviews every project registration against the rules on this page.
Sample template: the firm, people, clients and figures are fictional.
The three tiers
Every reseller starts at Authorized and moves up when it meets both requirements of the next tier. Both requirements count: won value alone or certification alone does not change the tier. Won value counts orders closed in the last 12 months on approved registrations. Certified people hold a current Keelson Product Specialist certificate, which is valid for 12 months.
| Tier | Requirements | What the tier adds | Marketing fund budget |
|---|---|---|---|
| Authorized | Signed reseller terms and a stocking location | Registered project pricing, the product academy, marketing funds by request | By request |
| Preferred | $100,000 won value in the last 12 months and two certified people | Leads from Keelson inbound requests and a joint quarterly business plan with a channel manager | $12,000 each half year |
| Premier | $250,000 won value in the last 12 months and four certified people | First pick of leads in your territory | $24,000 each half year |
The entry tier for a distributor with a stocking location that serves industrial plants. An Authorized reseller registers plant projects, quotes the registered price once a registration is approved, and sends its counter and outside sales team through the product academy.
Ironbridge MRO Supply and Copperleaf Process Equipment are Authorized today. Copperleaf joined on Sep 28 and has no academy path assigned yet.
Preferred adds two things a growing reseller needs: inbound leads from Keelson and a channel manager who agrees a quarterly business plan with you. The half year marketing fund budget is $12,000.
Ridgeline is Preferred. Thornfield Industrial and Mesa Fluid Systems are Preferred as well.
Premier doubles the marketing fund budget to $24,000 each half year and gives first pick of leads in your territory: a lead from your region is offered to you before any other reseller.
Bayline Pump & Seal is Premier, with five certified people.
Where Ridgeline stands against Premier
Ridgeline meets Preferred and has two Premier requirements left. Read the block below as two separate bars: each one has to reach its mark.

Won value of $175,000 comes from three won registrations: Westfield Aggregates, Brannock Foundry and Kessler Pulp & Board. Two approved registrations worth $182,000 are still open: Halbrook Paper Mill and Port Avery Water Authority.
Carmen Delgado and June Okafor are certified. Diego Farrow passed the selection course and has the registration course left. Samuel Reyes has not started. Wrong wear ring sets were quoted twice this year when an impeller was ordered without its trim diameter, so Tobias decided that every counter person completes the selection course this quarter, and Carmen set the time aside.
Registration and the price it protects
Register a plant project before you give the customer a price. The registered price only applies after approval, and a conflict found after a price is given costs the customer's trust as well as the margin.
On a sample order with a list value of $10,000, the registered price is $8,200 and the unregistered price is $9,000. The figures are a worked example of the two rules, not a quote.
A registration that names the plant but not the pump models waits: two of Ridgeline's registrations did, and Benedict could not check the parts or the price band. Since then a registration needs the pump models and quantities before review, and Carmen added both to the counter team's checklist.

Port Avery protection ends Oct 15
Port Avery Water Authority, an intake pump station with four split case housings and impellers, is protected until Oct 15. The authority moved its board vote to next month and confirmed the new date in writing. Owner: Benedict Oyelaran decides the 30 day extension Carmen requested on Oct 2. Consequence: without the extension, the $118,000 project loses its registered price on Oct 16 and the plant can be registered by another reseller.
Why Tarrow Pump Systems was not approved
Ridgeline registered Tarrow Pump Systems on Sep 21 and Benedict did not approve it on Sep 22: Tarrow is already in Keelson's own sales pipeline. Ridgeline had given Tarrow a price before registering, so the customer had a number before the registration was decided. Tobias decided resellers register before they give a price, and Carmen made it a rule for the outside sales team.
Leads from Keelson
Preferred and Premier resellers receive inbound requests from plants in their region. Accept or decline each lead within three days. Accepting starts 90 days of protection, the same as an approved registration. Decline with a reason rather than let the respond-by date pass, so Keelson can offer the plant elsewhere while it still wants an answer.
| Lead | Plant need | Offered | Respond by | State |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Marrow Creek Mining | Wear parts for two slurry pumps, about $33,000 | Oct 2, by Tobias Wren | Oct 5 |
Marketing funds
Marketing funds pay for local activities that bring plant projects to register: a lunch-and-learn, a trade show booth, a mailing to maintenance teams. Request funds before the activity, then claim the approved amount with receipts. Every receipt carries the event name, and a claim arrives within 30 days of the event.
Live example from the Dashboards app, shown with Ridgeline Industrial Supply's demo data.
The steps show the plant maintenance lunch-and-learn. Keelson approved $5,000 of the $7,500 requested. In total, 34 people attended and two registrations followed: Halbrook Paper Mill and Crestline Brewing. Ridgeline claimed $3,850 with receipts for the venue, catering and printed guides, and the claim is under review. A request of $6,000 for a regional water expo booth is waiting for Tobias's decision. At Premier, the same activities would draw on a $24,000 budget each half year instead of $12,000.
The lunch-and-learn is the model for every request: one audience, a number of registrations we expect, and receipts that name the event. That makes the next approval easy.

How to use this template
Keep one guide per reseller. Update the stats and the Premier checklist at each quarterly business review, and the lead and marketing fund sections when a decision is made.

If a required value is missing, show Needs review in its place and do not state a tier change; never estimate won value or count a certificate that has expired. If the registration record cannot be read, show Unavailable instead of the stats.
